Welcome to Cooperative Learning In Chinese as the First Language Conversation Classroom

Cooperative Learning has been around for quite some time, and a considerable amount of research has been carried out demonstrating the results of its use literally across the curriculum. Cooperative learning has not been specially developed for Chinese Language teaching, but can be used with advantage in all subjects. The reason why the method is relevant for us as Chinese Language teachers is that  - apart from everything else it can do  - it is an excellent way of conducting communicative language teaching.

Teaching Chinese as a First Language requires active learning strategies that force the student to become fully engaged in the learning process through cooperative work. This website was builded as a platform to examin the effectiveness of this teaching model using in Chinese Language as the first language conversation classroom in SMK Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia.
